Summer is a season of frequent traffic accidents, and it is also a season of the year that poses the greatest challenge to safe driving. In order to ensure safe driving during the summer, the Vehicle Wheel Trade Show hereby carefully sorts out the precautions for driving in summer. , And at the same time remind all drivers and friends to be cautious and slow at all times when driving on the road.

1. General knowledge of safe driving

In summer, check the technical condition of the vehicle frequently, focusing on the safety performance of the vehicle, and it is strictly forbidden to drive a sick vehicle on the road. Before driving in the summer, drivers must ensure adequate rest and sleep, maintain energy, and strictly prohibit fatigue driving. When driving in hot weather, control the vehicle speed and avoid continuous high-speed driving for a long time, so as to avoid excessive engine or tire temperature. When driving, pay close attention to the dynamics of non-motorized vehicles and pedestrians, and beware of non-motorized vehicles and pedestrians suddenly crossing the road to avoid the cold and rushing to the shade side of the road.

2. Avoid excessive engine temperature

When driving a vehicle in hot summer weather, you should always pay attention to the change of the water temperature gauge. Generally, it should not exceed 95°C, especially when the vehicle is loaded or driving on mountain roads, and more attention should be paid to prevent the engine from overheating. If the temperature is too high, you should stop in a cool place to cool down in time, and you can lift the engine cover to ventilate and dissipate heat; after the temperature drops, check whether the engine cooling system lacks water and causes high temperature. When the coolant is boiling due to engine overheating or lack of water, do not immediately turn off the engine. Stop the engine and run the engine at idle speed. When the temperature drops, turn off the engine, and then open the radiator cover with cotton yarn or gloves to prevent the boiling of the cooling water from scalding the driver. Hands and faces.

3. Pay attention to the tire temperature

It is not advisable to drive for too long in summer. You should check the tire temperature while stopping and resting properly every 2 hours or after driving a certain distance; when you find that the air pressure rises due to overheating of the tires, you should try to park the car in a cool place or in the shade Bottom, let the tire cool down naturally, reduce the pressure, do not use deflation or pour cold water to reduce the tire pressure and temperature. In addition, emergency braking should be avoided when driving in summer, and it is strictly forbidden to overload vehicles.

4, avoid fatigue driving

Driving in hot summer weather or in an environment where the temperature in the cab is overheated, the temperature is high and the air circulation is poor, and the driver is easy to fatigue; often feel mentally tired, the vision gradually becomes blurred, and the thinking becomes dull, especially in the afternoon or midnight Driving is very easy to fall asleep, and even the driver loses his memory instantly. Reluctant driving can easily lead to traffic accidents. When driving in hot weather in summer, try to keep the air in the driver's cabin unobstructed, with suitable temperature and humidity, stop and rest in time when fatigue occurs, and do not drive the vehicle reluctantly.

5. It is not advisable to wear dark sunglasses

The dark color of the sunglasses can delay the time for the eyes to send the image to the brain. This visual delay causes distortion of the speed perception and makes drivers wearing sunglasses make wrong judgments. Studies have shown that dark-colored sunglasses will extend the driver’s response time to emergencies by 100 milliseconds and increase the sudden braking distance by 2.2 meters.

6. Emergency response to a puncture

When driving, a sudden puncture is a hidden danger for safe driving in summer. When encountering a sudden puncture, the driver should hold the steering wheel firmly with both hands, loosen the accelerator pedal, and try to control the vehicle in a straight line. If there is a steering, don’t overdo it. Correction; while controlling the direction, lightly depress the brake pedal (emergency braking is prohibited) to slow down the vehicle slowly, and stop the vehicle steadily when the vehicle speed drops to an appropriate time, and try to stop the vehicle gradually on the side of the road For proper. When a tyre burst occurs, you must not turn the steering wheel in the opposite direction or step on the brake pedal suddenly in a panic. Try to use the method of "grab the gear" and use the engine caliper (commonly known as engine brake) to slow the vehicle; Before controlling the speed of the vehicle, do not take the risk of using the service brakes to stop the vehicle to avoid greater danger when the vehicle swings horizontally.

7, beware of spontaneous combustion

Several auto-ignition accidents occur every summer. Therefore, before traveling, be sure to check whether the high and low voltage lines of the vehicle are short-circuited or aging, whether the plug is loose, whether the battery is in normal working condition, and whether there is oil leakage in the oil circuit. In addition, inflammable and explosive materials such as gas lighters should also be cleaned up in time. It is necessary to equip a fire extinguisher in the car and master the operation method to prevent accidents. In addition, it is also a good way to purchase spontaneous combustion insurance from an insurance company.

8. It is not advisable to turn on the air conditioner for a long time

When the engine is idling, the gasoline is not completely burned and carbon monoxide is produced. Generally, vehicles equipped with air conditioners have better sealing performance. Most people will feel dizzy and tired after a few hours in this environment, and their memory will also decrease. At the same time, people in the car exhale a large amount of carbon dioxide, which sharply reduces the oxygen in the car. Therefore, the air conditioner should be properly adjusted, or the car windows should be opened at regular intervals.

Nine, gas lighters should not be used

In midsummer, the heat waves are rolling, and some drivers have the habit of smoking to relieve fatigue. After lighting a cigarette, the gaslighter is usually placed on the dashboard. The China International Auto Parts Exhibition reminds you: this is very dangerous. Disposable gas lighters, plastic containers containing liquid gas, the gas will expand when heated above 40 degrees Celsius. The plastic shell will explode due to heat. Although the explosive power of a gaslighter is not great, when it is placed in a car with some fuel, flammable materials, etc., once it explodes, it will easily cause a fire and the consequences will be disastrous. Therefore, in the hot summer, drivers should not use gas lighters. Besides, smoking is not allowed when driving.
